5.1a CONSTANT INTENSITY FEEDBACK OPTION
Some simulators are equipped with a constant intensity feedback function. In
this case the control panel consists only of a touch screen, used to access the
various functions of the solar simulator. The various screens are accessed by
pressing the buttons just below the touch screen.
RUN SCREEN
This screen is displayed during normal operation of the simulator. Across the top
row, this screen displays the lamp hours (resettable after each lamp change), the
lamp voltage and current (current is settable in constant current mode), as well
as the beam intensity in SUNS (settable in constant intensity mode). The
settable adjustments are made in the Set Screen described below.
The middle row button switches between constant current mode and constant
intensity mode by pressing the switch button.
The bottom row consists of the manual shutter open button, the low intensity
button (80% of set value), and the lamp on/off button.
SET SCREEN
The Set Screen allows the operator to set the current, either by pressing the
current setting display and entering a number, or by adjusting the lamp current
incrementally using the up or down arrows.
Pressing the lamp hour reset will set the lamp hours displayed on the Run
Screen to 0.
Max Current Set is used to constrain the setting of the current that is asked of the
power supply.
