Compressing Images
Compress images down to half of their size or more, overwrites an old size image with a newly compressed image.
Compressing a previously saved image when the SD memory card has run out of the storage space during photography
increases space on the memory card so that you can continue taking photographs.
The following images cannot be resized:
*
(BASIC) quality images
* Images taken with other camera
* Protected images
* Movies
* Images cannot be resized when the SD memory card is write-protected
Set the mode dial to the mode.
Press the
MENU
button.
Press the or button to select
QUALITY
, and press the button.
The
QUALITY
menu is displayed.
Press the or button to select the image and press the
ENTER
button to set the compression ratio.
The current image size is displayed under the image.
Each press of the
ENTER
button changes the icons as follows:
: NORMAL
: BASIC
To cancel the selection, press the
ENTER
button again.
Press the or button to select
EXECUTE
and press the
ENTER
button.
To quit compression, select
CANCEL
and press the
ENTER
button.
When compression ends, the screen returns to the PLAYBACK MENU.
