Auto-select
mode, the NVIDIA driver automatically selects the multi-GPU
rendering mode to use.

In
Alternate frame rendering (AFR)
mode, consecutive frames are rendered by
two separate groups of GPUs. Each group processes alternating frames and
operates on each frame as in split-frame rendering mode.
•
Alternate frame rendering 2
, which is another version of the AFR mode, may
provide better performance than using the regular AFR mode in certain
applications
•
In
Split-frame rendering
mode, each frame is divided into horizontal strips, with
each GPU responsible for rendering one strip. Line(s) between horizontal strips
are
not visible
for the user.
