INSTALLING THE SPRING ASSISTED TELESCOPIC COFFEE
TAMPER (Option)
- Insert the spring and then the shaft with knob into the special support (Fig. 7).
- Position and hold the coffee tamping disc in place, as illustrated in Fig. 8.
Push down on the knob until the threaded section of the shaft emerges from
beneath the support.
- Fit the coffee tamping disc into place, turning the knob clockwise.
- Once the shaft has been completely screwed onto the coffee tamping disc,
release the disc and then gradually reduce the pressure on the knob. The
attachment will be positioned as illustrated in Fig. 9.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING
Always unplug the appliance from the mains power supply before
carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operations.
WARNING
Never pull on the power cord or the appliance when removing the
plug from the mains power socket.
Cleaning
At least once every week, it is necessary to remove the coffee bean container
(2), unscrewing the fastening screw on the rear of the container itself (Fig. 3).
Use a clean cloth to remove the layer of grease left by the coffee beans.
It is also necessary to clean the doser, lifting the lid and using a brush and a
clean cloth, if required. If these operations are left, there is a risk that the grea-
se in the container will become rancid, with negative effects on successive cof-
fee quality. Use a damp cloth to clean the base of the appliance.
Maintenance
WARNING
Maintenance operations must only be performed by qualified ser-
vice engineers, authorised to perform such operations by the
manufacturer.
