The three indicator lights react to
noise in the senders’ closer
surroundings. These noises are only
transmitted to the receiver
when passing a minimum noise level.
One or two lighted lamps indicate
a soft noise, e.g. those of a TV running
or a baby playing. All three lights
on indicate a louder noise
like for example when the baby is
crying. These indicator lights
ensure an optical transmission
of sounds even if it is noisy in
the room where the receiver is
placed or if the receivers’ volume
is adjusted to soft. Please do not
turn the switch until it „clicks“ so not
to completely turn off the receiver.
Using the softest adjustment
possible you will no longer hear
any sounds, but the number of
indicator lamps lighted will
indicate what kind of noise has
been transmitted.

The quality of transmission
depends on the battery strength.
The better the batteries,
the better the transmission. Should
you hear constant background noises,
please exchange batteries.

For constant operating we
recommend the use of a net adapter .
•
The NUK Babysitter operates on
frequencies which are also claimed by
other systems such as CB radio.
Thus, noise ratio and interference can
not be excluded. Adding to this,
other systems and walls
built of reinforced concrete might
interfere with or restrict the
transmission. In this case your
NUK Babysitter is not defect. Please
try and switch to another channel.
Setting up sender and receiver
next to each other might
lead to feedback combined with
a loud whistling sound.
