Checking the Settings of Personal Computer (Windows XP)
The check procedure for the settings of personal computer is described below. Screenshots are
the images of Windows XP (Categorized Display Mode). The display may vary depending on the
personal computer.
Checking the Settings
Adjusting the Microphone/
Speaker Volume

Click the [Start], and then [Control
Panel].

Click [Sounds, Speech, and Audio
Devices].

Click [Sounds and Audio Devices].

Check the [Audio] screen.

Click the [Audio] tab.

Check that [R-Talk] is selected as
[Default device] for [Sound playback].

Check that [R-Talk] is selected as
[Default device] for [Sound recording].

Check that [Use only default devices]
is marked.
Mark the checkbox if it is unmarked.

Adjust the speaker volume.

Click [Volume] in [Sound playback].

Maximize the [Speaker] volume.
If the speaker volume is too high,
lower the volume.

Check that [Mute all] in [Speaker] is
unmarked.
Unmark the checkbox if it is marked.
