3. Lubrication
CAUTION
• Hold the handpiece and the nozzle together firmly to prevent forcible
disengagement by aerosol propellant pressure.
CAUTION
• Skip dry cycle.
• Heating element may be located at the bottom of the chamber, and the
temperature there locally may exceed the set value. Place the handpiece on the
central or upper tray.
• Do not autoclave the handpiece, even when it is bagged, together with other
instruments, from which chemicals are not sufficiently cleaned.
This is to avoid discoloration and/or damage the plating of the handpiece.
• Do not wipe with, or clean or immerse in, high acid water or sterilizing solutions.
4. Sterilization
Always lubricate the handpiece after each use.
Remove the handpiece from the airmotor or micromotor and lubricate as follows.

Mount the supplied spray nozzle onto the plastic spray outlet by turning it approx.
10 times.
2 Wipe sheath clean.
3 Insert the spray nozzle into the back end of the handpiece as shown Fig.4.
4 Spray for about 2-3 second.
5 If the head is heavily contaminated, disassemble the head from the sheath with
the supplied wrench.(Fig.5)
6 Spray into the head as shown Fig.6.
Sterilization by autoclaving is recommended.
Autoclaving procedure
1 Brush off dirt and wipe clean with alcohol-soaked cloth or paper towel.
2 Remove reduction sheath from the motor and lubricate. Ref.3 Lubrication.
3 Insert into a sterilization bag and seal it.
4 Autoclave the packet for 20 min. at 121 ˚C(250 ˚F), or 15 min. at 132˚C(270˚F)

5. Warranty
NSK warrants the handpiece against poor manufacturing, poor workmanship and
defects in materials. NSK reserves the right to analyze and determine the cause of
any problem.
Warranty is voided should the handpiece be not used correctly.
Replacement parts are available for 7 years beyond discontinuation of the model.
