Launch Indicator

The [Launch] indicator is shown in the [Trace] screen header while a test is in progress in the [Live] 
mode, or in the [Manual] mode with [Averages] set to [Live]. This indicator may be displayed as a 
full bar, a half bar, or no bar. The table below describe the [Launch] indicator meaning.

[Launch] indicator state

Meaning

Full bar 

A full bar indicates a good (low-loss, low refl ection) 
connection to the OFL200.

Half bar 

A half bar or no bar indicates one of the following conditions:

•

test cable may not be properly seated in the OFL200 
test port

•

connector on the test cable, OFL200 test port, or both 
is dirty or damaged

These conditions can reduce the effective range of the 
OFL200, or make it hard to see and measure the loss of the 
fi rst connector on the link under test.
