icon located in the menu bar to display the

Connect

Click

Open Internet Connect...

. The

Connect

dialog box is displayed. Click the

Connect

button.

The modem will attempt to register with the service provider. The status bar message
indicates the connection’s status—

Status: Contacting PPP Server...

While a connection is being made, the status bar message is

Status: Authenticating

User...

When a connection is made, the status bar message is

Status: Connected to

and the

Connect Time, and IP Address are indicated. The

Disconnect

button appears on the

window.
