Device Mounting
The MT 4000 case includes molded anchor points for mounting as shown in the figure below.
Always mount the device with the correct side facing skyward as shown in the figure below.
To ensure proper accelerometer operation, you must securely mount the MT
4000. Mounting the device to cable runs or other structures that may allow the
device's orientation to shift may cause inaccurate results to be reported by the
accelerometer.
For optimal performance, note the following mounting precautions/guidelines:

Choose a location where metal or cable bundles will not shield the device.
l
Avoid possible interference by mounting the device away from radio or speaker wires.
We suggest you mount your device in one of the following locations:
l
Above the air vents
l
Above the instrument cluster
l
Above the glove box
Do not mount the device in the following locations:
l
Engine bay
l
Near or in the path of a vehicle's airbag
Mounting Methods
To mount the device, use the Mounting Bracket (BRK4100).
While performing these steps, do not apply excessive force to the retention legs
or snap feature prior to inserting the device as this may deform the mounting
bracket.
