POWER CABLE MAINTENANCE
If the power cable needs replacing, the
task must be carried out by an electrician
or a power tool repairer in order to avoid a
safety hazard.
CHANGING THE BLADE
Warning:
Always ensure the Mitre Saw
is switched off and the plug is removed
before performing any adjustments or
maintenance procedures.
Caution:
Never try to use a blade that
is larger than the stated capacity of the
Mitre Saw. It might come into contact
with the blade guards and risk personal
injury or damage to the Mitre Saw. This
will not be covered under warranty.

Caution:
Never use a blade that is too
thick to allow the outer blade washer
to engage with the flats on the spindle.
It will prevent the blade screw from
properly securing the blade onto the
spindle.

ADJUSTING THE FENCE
The left hand side of the fence has an
adjustable upper section. Adjustment may
be necessary to provide clearance for the
moving cutting head when acute mitre,
bevel or compound angles are selected.
Follow the procedure below to adjust the
fence:
1. Loosen the socket head screw (Fig. 24).
2. Slide the upper section of the fence to
the left to the required position and tighten
the socket head screw.
3. Conduct a dry run with the power off to
confirm that there is no contact between
machine parts as the cut is attempted.
