FIRMM Installation Checklist (Siemens)

Shipping carton arrived undamaged

FIRMM Tablet Computer and components unpacked and intact
☐
FIRMM Tablet Desktop Cradle and Tablet Computer installed successfully

FIRMM Software License Updated if necessary
☐
Record FIRMM Software version ____________
☐
Run a FIRMM Test Scan (refer to the FIRMM User Manual)
:
1.
Set up an MRI test phantom (any QC phantom is acceptable)
2.
From the MRI Host Computer – register the patient and select the appropriate exam
3.
From the MRI Host Computer – press “Ctrl-Esc” to open the start menu
4.
From the start menu – right-click “FIRMM start always-send” (or “FIRMM start one patient”)
and select “Open”
5.
On the FIRMM tablet, select the “Settings” tab
•
Set the motion threshold to 0.1mm
6.
Initiate the BOLD fMRI sequence
7.
On the FIRMM tablet, select the fMRI tab and monitor the scan

FIRMM Test Scan successfully completed – FIRMM is working correctly

Take a photograph of the FIRMM About Screen (or record the hardware identifier number
and license expiration dates below)
