NEW FEATURES
Software Upgrade Integrity Check
The Cycle Redundancy Check is being verified during software upgrade, in
addition to being checked on system start up.
Log Messages
If a CM declines a DHCP offer, it now logs the reason.
PROBLEMS FIXED
The following problems were discovered in Release 2.0 of the CMTS and
corrected.
1. Multiple DHCP NAK responses could cause modems to reset.
2. The CM reset when the provisioning file was greater than 8192 bytes.
3. CM requests now include DHCP client ID option and the Log Server
option.
4. The CM reset when it received two DHCP ACK responses.
5. DHCP Renew Request now includes the Client ID option.
6. The CM no longer registers with the CMTS when a change in the
upstream and/or downstream is directed by the provisioning file.
7. An NMAccess table that contains only notInService entries incorrectly
caused the CM to be in a restricted access state.
8. When ARPing for a duplicate IP address, the CM may ignore an ARP
response.
