Software Installation of WLAN Location Engine 2340

NN47250-306 (324121-A Version 01.01)

Accessing the database

Once the initial deployment configuration is done, use the Database Access Portion of the Administration GUI to make a 
backup of the configuration. 

The Nortel WLAN Location Engine 2340 can take the snapshots, which are zipped files consisting of various logs and 
the system database. These files can be useful to either backup the system information or to diagnose any potential 
problems To do this, follow these steps:

Connect to the WLE2340 Administration GUI using the URL: 

https://<WLE2340_IP_Address>:8003

Select 

Menu>Database Access

. The Database Access wizard appears. You can backup and restore the 

files.

You can perform the following operations:

•

Make a new snapshot to download 

•

Download one of the following snapshots 

•

Import a snapshot and begin using it immediately

To upload the file, click 

Browse

.

To restore the database to snapshot, click 

Upload

.

Caution!  

In this form, 

Cancel

 option is not avilable. So, use it carefully.

Warning!  

For successful upload, the snapshot upload requires a .tar.gz file.  If other 

extension is used, then upload will fail.
