Troubleshoot the Doorphone (cont’d)
If your Doorphone does not present page chimes after the programmed number of
rings at the “Call DN” telelphone:
• Ensure
Page zone:

is selected.
• Ensure at least one telephone is assigned to the selected page zone, and not in
use during this test.
• Ensure that

, or
none
is selected.
Check that the Norstar port connecting the Doorphone is functioning properly.
1. Ensure Auto Set Relocation feature is set to OFF (n).
2. Disconnect the Doorphone and connect a Norstar telephone to the
Doorphone wiring.
3. Verify that the connection from the Doorphone to the KSU is functioning properly
by making an intercom call to another Norstar telephone.
Note: If no dial tone is present, refer to the appropriate Norstar Installer
Guide, Troubleshooting Section.
4. Connect the Doorphone into a different port and configure Norstar for the
Doorphone. If the problem persists, the Doorphone is likely at fault.
