Use the following procedures to replace the multiplier.
See Figure 6-3.
1. Remove the spray gun from its mount. Refer to Removal from the
Gun Mount in this section for instructions.
2. Disassemble the tube assembly using the following steps:
a. Unscrew the inlet connector body/powder feed tube assembly (1)
and remove it from the back of the spray gun.
b. Unscrew the lock nut (2) from the tension tube (5).
NOTE: Be careful not to lose the tension tube locator (3) when
you separate the body from the mounting tube.
c. Carefully separate the body (14) from the mounting tube (4).
d. Unscrew the gun cable extension (7) and disconnect the gun air
tubing extension (6) from the mounting bracket (10).
e. Unscrew the tension tube and remove it from the mounting
bracket.
3. Remove the screws (8) and O-rings (9) securing the mounting
bracket to the spray gun. Remove the mounting bracket.
4. Hold one hand over the back of the spray gun. Tilt the front end of
the spray gun up, allowing the multiplier (11) to fall out.
5. Unscrew the multiplier nut (13) and remove the contact assembly (12)
from the multiplier.
