Instructions for installation, use and maintenance – EN – Rev.03
The exhaust gases do not come out completely (intense smell of gas). In this case, shake the grating more
frequently and increase the air for the combustion. Then, load a reduced quantity of fuel in order to permit a
rapid burning (growing up of the flames) and the stabilization of the draught.
Then, check that all openings for the cleaning and the connections to the stack are air-tight.
14.1.
USE AS NORMAL STOVE/COOKER.
WARNING: For no reason turn on the fire before the system has been completely filled with water;
doing so could cause serious damage to the entire structure.
To use the wood burning stove/cooker exclusively for cooking foods for example during the summer period
it is necessary to prevent water boiling in the boiler, when the thermoheating stove/cooker is in function, the
circulation pump must be in function in order to dispose of the heat given to the boiler water on the
radiators.
The system must be kept constantly full of water even in period when use of the thermoheating
stove/cooker is not requested. During the winter, inactivity must be faced with the addition of antifreeze.
15. MAINTENANCE AND CARE
Let the installation of your stove, the connection to chimney and the ventilation check by your chimney
sweeper.
For the cleaning of enamelled surfaces use soap water or not aggressive and not chemically abrasive
detergents. If the components become bluish due to overheating, this can be solved with a suitable product
for cleaning.
IMPORTANT: It is possible to use exclusively spare parts clearly authorized and offered by LA
NORDICA. In case of need please apply to your dealer!
THE APPLIANCE CAN NOT BE MODIFIED!
15.1.
CLEANING OF THE FLUE
The correct turning on procedure, use of quantity and types of suitable fuels, correct positioning of the
secondary air register, sufficient draught of the chimney and the presence of comburent air are essential
for optimal operation of the appliance. At least once a year it is advisable to clean completely, or when
necessary (problems of malfunction with poor performance).
This operation, done exclusively with cold stove/cooker, should be done by a chimney sweep who
can also inspect the appliance.
During cleaning remove the smoke discharge section and smoke pipe from the wood burning stove/cooker.
The collection tank of the smoke can be cleaned from the oven (after having removed the two screws that
fix the extractable level of the oven), or from the top.
To this end remove the rings of the cooking plate and remove the smoke pipe from the discharge section.
Cleaning can be done using a brush and an extractor.
It will be necessary to carefully clean the exchange surfaces removing the movable part of the hob and
scraping the exchange surfaces of the furnace and the pipes which compose the tube bundle located
above the oven, as well as the downward passage of the smoke on the right side of the oven.
