4.2.5 MPS Configuration

MPS Revision

Multiprocessor Specification Version Option. This option allows users to select a

multiprocessor specification version based on the operating system they use. This option only
works if the system contains two or more physical or logical processors. MPS has two versions
of [1.1] and [1.4]. MPS 1.4 can be fully compatible with Win 2000 and future operating systems
that support multiple processors. For Win NT and older operating systems, version 1.1 must be
chosen. If the setup error causes the second processor to shut down.
