Re-attaching the slide

If the plastic part of your phone’s slide
accidentally comes off, re-attach it as
described below:

1

Slide the
metal part
of the slide
up the
body of the
phone
until it
locks into
place.

2

Attach the plastic
part of the slide
back to the phone
(along the grooves
on the sides) and
slide it up the
body of the phone
until its locks into
place.

3

Press the top part
of the slide from
both sides to
ensure that the
two parts of the
slide are properly
attached.

Using batteries and chargers

For charging and recharging your
phone battery, see Charging the battery
on page 16.

•

Use only batteries approved by the
phone manufacturer and recharge your
battery only with the chargers approved
by the manufacturer.

•

A new battery's full performance is
achieved only after two or three com-
plete charge and discharge cycles!

•

The battery can be charged and
discharged hundreds of times but it will
eventually wear out. When the operating

time (talk-time and stand-by time) is
noticeably shorter than normal, it is time
to buy a new battery.

•

When a charger is not in use, disconnect
it from the power source. Do not leave
the battery connected to a charger for
longer than a week, since overcharging
may shorten its life. If left unused a fully
charged battery will discharge itself over
time.

•

For good operation times, discharge the
NiMH battery from time to time by
leaving your phone switched on until it
turns itself off (or by using the battery
