13. Push to talk
Push to talk (PTT) is a two-way radio service available on your network service.
PTT provides direct voice communication. All users of PTT must first subscribe to
the service. Contact your service provider to subscribe.
You can use PTT to talk with one person or among a group of people. These
individuals or groups must first be set up in your PTT contacts list. When your call
is connected, the person or group you are calling receives a beeping sound. There
is no ringing. You can set your phone to listen either with the earpiece or the
loudspeaker.
You can use other functions of the phone while using PTT. However, certain
features are not available for PTT, such as voice mail.
Warning
: Do not hold the device near your ear when the loudspeaker is
in use, because the volume may be extremely loud.
