
Introduction to troubleshooting for service
While servicing this phone you are not allowed to open the shielding cans. Therefore many components can
not be accessed. If you locate a failure to the UEMEK, Tiku or other components under shieldning, the PWB
will be replaced.
A list of changeable PWB components can be found in the
Component parts list (page 2–8)
and audio parts in the
Mechanical parts list (page 2–7)
, or in the latest Service bulletin.
Note:
Most components are under shielding and therefore not changeable. You MUST NOT cut the
shielding cans open!
Test points for service
Note:
Shielding cans must not be opened for repair!

Power and charging
Troubleshooting: Phone is dead
Context
The phone will only work when the power supply is above 2.9 V. Software will run at levels above 3.1 V.
Normal voltage supply is 3.7 V.
Steps
1. Check VBAT
2. Check power key
3. Replace PWB
