Instructions for:
Finger-Splicing
Carryflex
TM
CFTG-60SG-30
Heating Press NPS-2005
Pre-Setter Procedure
1)
Place matted finger ends together in the belt pre-setting mold.
2)
Length of the matted finger will be approximately 120mm. The
position of the finger should be centered in the mold. Refer to the
120mm markings on the mold.
3)
If the tip of the fingers, or Aramid fibers, stick out from the surface,
push them into the finger grooves using a thin plate of steel, screw driver, razor knife, etc.
4)
Put a silicon sheet, matte side down, on the joint area of the belt and cover with the top guide plate.
Press Procedure
1)
Plug in the press. The control unit will run a diagnostic check for 6 seconds and then start heating
automatically.
2)
Set the temperature and time to match splicing conditions for CFTG-60SG material: 170°C, 450 seconds
(see Page 1). For detailed instructions on how to check/set the time and temperature, please see

”
on Page 4.
3)
Open the press and insert the pre-setting mold with the belt.
The mold must be properly placed between the position guide,
and the marks on the mold must be aligned under the press
heating plate.
4)
Fasten lock and turn pressure knob clockwise until it slips as you
try to turn it.
5)
Once the set temperature is reached, the controller unit counts
the set seconds, and then the heat shuts off and the cooling fan
automatically starts.
*Note: Do not touch or open press plate when the current
temperature (green number) is over 50°C. Doing so may
cause improper joining or risk of burns.
6)
After current temperature reading (green number) is below 50°C,
unplug the press to turn off the cooling fan.
7)
Unfasten the lock and turn the knob counter-clockwise to open
the press.
8)
Remove the belt from the pre-setting mold and inspect the
condition of the joint.
*Note: Please do not apply any tension to belt until belt has
cooled down to room temperature.
