Ironing
General
For optimum results, the laundry should be carefully moistened slightly before ironing. The
normal ironing time is around 1 minute, tablecloths slightly longer. Garments with buttons,
zips or similar must not be ironed.
When ironing has finished, release and then pull the
ironer cloth out onto the work table.
Long garments
Bedsheets, tablecloths, etc. are ironed with
a rolled-up mangle cloth. Make sure that
the ironer cloth is wound evenly around
the roller. Leave about 30 cm with which to
attach the garment
. Stretch and smooth
out creases and wrinkles while the
garment is being wound on.
Short garments
Pillowcases, towels, etc. should be ironed
inside the mangle cloth. It is important that
the whole mangle cloth is pulled out first. (A
pocket may otherwise form behind the roller).
Then advance approximately one turn before
laying the first garment. Do not lay anything in-
side the red seam of the mangle cloth. Position
the garment so that edges and hems do not
become entwined in the rolling-up process.
Stretch and smooth creases and wrinkles
while the garment is being wound on.
Ironing
Ironing takes place with the mangle cloth completely rolled on. Small garments should be
fed in with one corner facing, for example folded pillowcases, towels, etc. The garments are
collected in the laundry box beneath the work table.
Replacement of mangle cloth
Make sure that the power supply is off (pull out the plug). Roll the cloth off completely. Leave
the roller so that the recess in the roller is accessible from the control bar opening. Extract the
mangle cloth from the recess from left to right. Introduce the new cloth in the same way, but
from right to left. Guide the cloth so that it runs up onto the roller.
CAUTION
Request ”mangle cloth with string (plastic)” when re-ordering.
