Read carefully and strictly comply with the use of the following instruc�ons before 

using the printer.

Warning: do not touch the printer cu�er.

Warning: the print head is a component that heats up; do not touch it and less 

during the prin�ng process or when the prin�ng has just finished.

Warning: Do not touch the surface of the printhead and its connec�ng parts to avoid 

damaging it.

Printer connec�on

1. Make sure the printer and PC are turned off and then connect the data interface 
cables (USB / Serial / Ethernet) from the printer to the PC.
2. If the user has an electric cash drawer (with RJ11-6pin cable) to connect to the 
printer, insert the cable into the corresponding RJ-11 connector of the printer.
     PD: The specifica�on of the cash drawer must be in accordance with the 
requirements of the printer).
3. Connect the supplied power supply. Please, only use the supplied power supply.
*Notes
• First, insert the plug of the DC24V power supply into the printer and then 
connect the AC220V. Finally turn on the switch. Please ac�vate it following the 
instruc�on steps, otherwise it could damage the printer.
• Using an inadequate power source would cause an unexpected result that could 
even break the printer.

Installing the printer driver

Once connected the printer and turn it on, go to the folder

of the CD where it says "driverinstall" and double click on the

 file "driverinstall.exe". If you are installing it on a computer 

from windows7, the message will appear if you want to allow 

this applica�on from an unknown adver�ser to make changes

 in the system, click "Yes" and the following screen will appear 

where we choose the installa�on language between English 

or Chinese If you do not speak Chinese, choose "English" 

which will be easier to understand if you do not speak it.

Then on the next screen we click on "Install".

• Do not connect the telephone line to the cash drawer 

interface because it may cause damage to the printer and 

the telephone.

• Gently unplug the power cord. If the user does it by force,

 it can cause the printer and the power supply to fail.

Place roll paper in the printer

The P83 printer, with easy paper loading, uses 80 mm wide 

thermal paper.

The loading instruc�ons are listed below:

1. Open the top cover of the printer.

2. Load the thermal paper in the printer as in the following 

image.

3. Take out a part of the paper and then close the top cover.

4. Use the printer's manual cu�er to tear the extra paper.

Recommenda�ons:

1. The printer should be installed in a firm place and avoid vibra�ons and shocks.
2. Do not use the product in areas with high temperature or high humidity since it 
may cause a malfunc�on in the equipment.
3. The power supply of the printer must be connected to an appropriate ground. 
Avoid using the same plug with other large electrical machines or this equipment 
could cause voltage fluctua�on.
4. Use only the standard power supply supplied with the printer.
5. Do not disassemble this product. Incorrect moun�ng can cause an electric shock. 
Leave it to qualified personnel if necessary.
6. Before turning on the power, please make sure that there are no objects 
obstruc�ng the lid and / or paper.
7. The printer can not work when there is no paper; otherwise, the print roller and 
the thermal print head will be seriously damaged.
8. Do not allow water or conduc�ve material such as metal inside the printer, if it 
occurs, turn off the power supply immediately.
9. Unplug this product from the mains before cleaning it. Do not use cleaning fluid 
or aerosol cleaner. Use a damp cloth to clean the cover.
10. To ensure print quality and prolong the life of the printer, use the recommended 
thermal paper or one of the same quality.
11. Make sure the printer is off when you connect the connec�on line.
