2 _3.3 Operation of the head of the shaft

on the guide handle protects the machine
against unintended actuation in all shaft
positions! With handle in upright position
an additional safety lock prevents
accidental switching-on!
Bring shaft into operating position:
•
Unlock control lever for shaft adjustment (3),
•
Adjust shaft,
•
Release control lever for shaft adjustment (3).
Switch machine on:
•
Unlock switch-on safety device (1),
•
Actuate operating button (2).

2 _3.4 Special instructions
When moving to the operating location, the brush or the
pad must be raised by tilting the machine onto the
wheels.
Move carefully over thresholds and steps. Tilt the
machine and move on the two transportation wheels
until the threshold has been crossed.
Caution when moving over thresholds and
steps - this may lead to damage to the
brushes and the pad.
2 _4 Operation
2 _4.1 Initial operation
Each time the machine is initially
operated, the safety and accident
prevention regulations which apply in the
location in which the machine is operated
must be complied with.
When using the machine for the first time practise with
light accessories, e.g. Union polishing brush. When
shampooing never start the machine on the carpet.
•
Start on a hard floor or place a wooden plate under
the machine for starting.
•
Wet your shampooing brush for a while before
shampooing to smoothen the bristles.
•
Do not leave the machine standing on the brush or
the floor pad while not in use.
•
Operation of the machine for a long period of time in
the same position may lead to damage to the floor
covering.
