Surround Mode Select” commands as well as all Function Key commands taught to
the Default page come out of the TV, Preamp, Master Key 9, and Master Key 10
flasher ports only.
5. Any data received at the MSU’s “Home Theater IR” or “Second Zone IR” inputs will not
be routed.
All codes will be issued via all flasher ports all the time, regardless of IR
Routing.
When IR Routing is disabled, the system will operate as follows:
1. All codes come out of all flasher ports all the time.
Dual TV
Enable the “Dual TV” feature to accommodate a system using two TV’s (i.e. both a direct
view TV and projector in a home theater). Program as described in the IntelliFile II
Reference Manual “Step 5 – Program Dual TV”.
In a Dual TV system, one television is designated the “Default” or favorite TV. It is
assigned to the TV sync and flasher connections. The second television is assigned to
Master Key 1’s sync and flasher connections. The label you use for Master Key 1 should
be “Switch TV”, “TV/Proj”, or “Swap”.
In a Dual TV system, all video switching should be done through the preamp, and the
output split to both TVs. Only one TV will be on at a time, so there will be no signal
degradation.
If the system is completely “Off”, a Dual TV system will turn on the “Default” TV if any
video Master Key is pressed. If the user presses “Switch TV” (Master Key 1) the “Default”
TV will turn off and “TV2” will turn on. Until the “System Off” key is pressed, “TV2” will
remain on, regardless of what video source is selected. If the user presses the “Switch TV”
Master Key again, “TV2” will turn off, and the “Default” TV will turn back on.
Note: The Dual TV feature does not enable you to watch both TV’s at the same time. If
this type of operation is desired, one of your Master Keys should be dedicated to the
secondary television and it should be treated as another source component. “IR Routing”
must be enabled if the two TVs are the same brand.
Also Note: In the IntelliFile II’s “Audio Scene Setting” feature, if an “audio only” source is
programmed to “turn the TV off when this Master Key is selected”, whichever TV is
currently on will be turned off. The next time any video Master Key is selected, the
”Default” TV will turn on.
Mute Manager
The “Mute Manager” feature enables you to automate the preamp’s “Mute” command so
that it automatically unmutes the system when any Master Key or Function Key is
pressed.
Note: The Preamp’s “Mute” command must be programmed to the “Mute” Function Key
on the “Default” page of memory.
