Unpack the appliance and check the contents for com-
pleteness (see “Scope of delivery”).
If you detect damage from transport, contact your retail
dealer immediately.
Fully charge the battery before every use. Only use
the original charger supplied.
The charging connector is under the yellow cover on
the battery.
The charging time of the battery is approximately 4.5 h.
(RS 17 A-45) and 6.5 h (RS 17 A-60).
When the battery is fully charged, the LED display on the
charger changes from red to green.
The charger heats up during the charging process. This
is normal and is not a defect.
Please note: The battery has overload and tempera-
ture controls. Charging the battery is therefore only
possible after it has cooled down for approximately
30 minutes.

Pushing the button shows the current charging status on
the LED strip on the battery.

● Insert the battery into the holder on the bottom of the
suction unit until you hear it catch (a).
● To release the battery, press button (b) on the holder
and pull it back out of the holder.
Keep the packaging material for storage and later transport
(e.g. when moving or sending the appliance for servicing).
