3. Operational Details
(1) Power Switch
When the power switch is turned on, two LEDs (one
showing the EXP.ADJ value, the other showing the
ISO value) light, the exposure time display shows
an initial value of "000.00", and the battery begins
to be charged. The battery is fully charged in 3 - 4
hours and is effective for about 1,000 hours when
fully charged.
(2) ISO Value
The ISO value is automatically set on the DX
mode*. When performing photomicrography not
on DX mode, touch either of the ISO keys to set the
desired ISO value (between 12 and 3200, or 20000).
The arrow marks above the ISO keys show the
directions in which the lighted LED moves. ( f- :
to the left,➔: to the right.)

The
DX mode
is the mode that automatically reads out and sets the ISO value from the
DX code printed on the loaded film cartridge. The DX mode display lamp (DX) on the
control box lights when the DX mode is set. The DX mode is not set in the following
situations:
• When film with no DX code is loaded.
• When no film is loaded into the dark box.
• When the two DX cables are not connected or incorrectly connected.
• While large format photomicrography is being performed.
