• Do not turn the ca m era o ff or re m ove the lens w hile
vibration reduction is in e ff ect . If po w er to the lens is cut
w hile vibration reduction is on , the lens m ay rattle w hen
shaken . This is not a m al f unction , and can be corrected by
reattaching the lens and turning the ca m era on .
• If the ca m era is e q uipped w ith a built-in f lash , vibration
reduction w ill be disabled w hile the f lash charges .
• Turn vibration reduction o ff w hen the ca m era is securely
m ounted on a tripod , but leave it on i f the tripod head is not
secured or w hen using a m onopod .

Aperture is adjusted using ca m era controls .
Zoom and Maximum Aperture
C hanges to zoo m can alter the m a x i m u m aperture by up to

Built-in Flash Units
When using the built-in f lash on ca m eras e q uipped w ith a
built-in f lash unit , re m ove lens hoods to prevent vignetting
( shado w s created w here the end o f the lens obscures the
built-in f lash ).
