2 - MECHANICAL INSTALLATION
• It is the responsibility of the owner or user of the
POWERDRIVE MD2CS to ensure that the
installation, operation and maintenance of the drive and
its options comply with legislation relating to the safety
of personnel and equipment and with the current
regulations of the country of use.
• POWERDRIVE MD2CS drives must be installed in an
environment free from conducting dust, corrosive fumes,
gases and fluids, and condensation (class 2 according to
IEC 664.1). The drive must not be installed in hazardous
areas unless it is in an appropriate enclosure. In this
case, the installation must be approved.
• In atmospheres where condensation may form, install
a heating system (to be switched off when the drive is
operating). It is advisable to control the heating system
automatically.
• Prevent access by unauthorised personnel.
2.1 - Checks upon receipt
Before installing the
POWERDRIVE MD2CS,
check that:
- The drive has not been damaged during transport
- The information on the nameplate is compatible with the
power supply
2.2 - Handling
• Check that the handling equipment is suitable for
the weight to be handled.
• The POWERDRIVE MD2CS has 2 lifting rings at the top
and bottom of the chassis. For how to handle the drive,
follow the instructions below.
To handle the drive, use a lifting bar with the characteristics
shown on the diagram.
The drive must be handled horizontally.
