WATERTIGHTNESS
The camera’s resistance to being immersed in water is made possi-
ble under the following conditions:
Camera:
the camera may be immersed in up to 12 meters of water
without its case. Before immersing the camera under water, ensure
that the coverings have been closed correctly on both the side
and underside of the camera. The covering and gaskets much be
completely rid of any foreign materials such as dust, sand and the
like. The camera is not watertight if the covering is open or closed
incorrectly! Do not open the camera covering before the body of the
camera has dried off. If the camera has been used in saltwater, wash
the camera off with fresh water. Do not use any textile materials or
external heat sources to dry the camera (fans, microwave ovens,
etc.), always let the camera slowly dry out on its own.
Case:
the case is watertight to the depth of 30 meters. Before using
the camera in its case, ensure that the case’s rear door has been
closed correctly with the help of the mechanism located on the
upper side of the case. The small door and gaskets much be com-
pletely rid of any foreign materials such as dust, sand and the like.
If the case has been used in saltwater, wash the case off with fresh
water. Do not use any textile materials or external heat sources to
dry the camera (fans, microwave ovens, etc.), always let the case
slowly dry out on its own. The camera’s touch screen display may
not be used when the watertight case is also in use, meaning the
camera may only be controlled via its buttons.
