EBC572 User’s Manual

Selecting Power Management Setup on the main program sc reen displays this menu:

ACPI Function

The ACPI st andard (Advanced Configuration and Interface power) allows t he operating system directly to

check the functions of energy saving and the PnP (P lug and Play) functionality. The A CPI functions are

normally activated by the BIOS. The choices are: Enabled and Disabled.

ACPI Suspend Type

This option s pecifies what t echnology must be used for the s tate of hibernation. The c hoices are as

below:

S1(P OS)

Power on Sus pend

S3(S TR)

Suspend to RAM

S1 & S3

Power Management

This c ategory allows y ou t o select the ty pe (or degree) of power saving and is direc tly related to t he

following modes: HDD Power Down, Doze Mode and S uspend Mode

Min. Saving: Minimum power management

Max Saving: Maximum power management

User Define: Allows you to set each mode individually

Video Off Method

This determines the manner in which the monitor is blanked. There are three choices:

V/H SYNC+B lank: This selection will cause the system to turn off the vertical and horizontal

synchronization port and writ e blanks to the video buffer.
