MAINTENANCE
The important thing to remember about your NEWBURN is that it is a woodheater. As such it has the
same potential problems and maintenance requirements as any woodheater.
Check regularly that the combustion damper is working correctly and is unobstructed.
Check that the firebox door gasket is intact and sealing correctly.
Check the Return Air filter is clean or replace.
Clean out the ash regularly to prevent excessive build-up and obstruction of combustion air
intake.
Check the condition of the firebricks and baffle plates.
Inspect and clean your flue at least annually.
