Examine all chain and belt drives. Lubricate and adjust as necessary.
•
Make sure all machine fasteners (bolts, nuts) are secure. Check all springs.
•
Check applicator drum and presser pad for damage and change if necessary.
•
Clean the lens face of all the sensors (use a damp cloth or oil free glass
cleaner).
7.4 A.C MOTOR
Regular maintenance requirements:
•
Check that the holes in the fan cowl are clear and that no dirt or other
obstructions are present in the cowl or along the body extrusions.
•
Ensure that all fixing screws are firm and tight.
•
Check that the connection wires into the terminal box are secure and are
properly held by the gland nut so that the insulation cannot fray.
7.5 HOT FOIL CODER
The maintenance requirements for this unit are detailed in the manufacturers manual
supplied separately with this manual.
7.6 LUBRICATION
The lubricants used on our model 4VAL are as listed below.
On open gears we use Shell Alvania Grease
On chain drives Rocol Chain & Drive Spray
Light oil Shell Tellus 22
