6.1 Maintenance
The Innova Shaker requires no routine mechanical maintenance on the part of the
user.
The MAINT indicator light goes on 10,000 hours after the unit was last serviced. At
that time, contact your local NBS Service Engineer or call the NBS Service
Department (in the USA, call 1-800-631-5417). This periodic maintenance will keep
your unit in premium condition.
6.2 Cleaning
The outside painted surfaces can normally be cleaned with a damp cloth and, if
necessary, standard household or laboratory cleaners. Do not use any abrasive or
corrosive compounds to clean this instrument, as they may damage the unit and void
the warranty.
The condenser coil is in the rear lower section of the unit. Like the coil on a
household refrigerator, this coil will collect dust and reduce the cooling capacity.
After every 3 months of use, to clean the coil:
1.
Unplug and remove the power cord.
2. Remove the back covers.
3. Vacuum the coil and its surrounding areas.
Perform this cleaning more frequently if the unit is in a dusty environment.
