If you have not already done, so, check the voltage and frequency selector 
switches on the rear of the unit to ensure that it is set to the appropriate voltage 
and frequency. 

2.

 

Remove the caution label from the rear of the unit. 

3.

 

Set the circuit breaker on the front side of the unit to the OFF position. 

ONLY THEN: 

4.  Connect the power cord to the power cord connection and to a grounded 

electrical outlet.

Installation of Platform 

A platform must be installed on the unit prior to use.  To install the platform: 
 
1.

 

Set the power switch to the OFF position.  Open the cover. 

2.

 

The unit is shipped with the four platform screws installed in the subplatform 
of the bearing housing.  These screws must be removed before a platform can 
be installed.  Using the 7/32” hex wrench provided, loosen and remove the 
platform screws from the bearing housing. 

CAUTION! 

Be sure to use the following checklist BEFORE making 
electrical connections. 

CAUTION! 

A grounded electrical outlet is necessary for the safe 
operation of this instrument.
