ONNECTION
Before you set the sensitivity of the
CONDUCTANCE PROBE
, you must connect
the
CONDUCTANCE PROBE
and
GROUND LEADS
. Perform the following steps to
connect the
CONDUCTANCE PROBE
and
GROUND LEADS
:
8.1.1
Connect the banana plug on the
CONDUCTANCE PROBE LEAD
to the
FOAM
or
HIGH FOAM INPUT
on the front panel of the Anti–Foam
Module.
8.1.2
Connect the other end of the
CONDUCTANCE PROBE LEAD
to the top
of the
CONDUCTANCE PROBE
.
8.1.3
Connect the
GROUND LEAD
to the metallic
GRND CONNECTOR
on the
front panel of the Anti–Foam Module.
#
NOTE:
If you are using two
CONDUCTANCE PROBES
with the AF 2000, only one
GROUND LEAD
is connected to the Module.
8.1.4
Connect the other end of the
GROUND LEAD
to a
GROUND POST
on the
VESSEL HEADPLATE
.

DJUSTMENT
The
SENS
adjustment screws on the front panel of the Anti–Foam Module sets the
conductivity at which the
CONDUCTANCE PROBE(S)
and the Anti–Foam Module
respond to the probes being in contact with foam. When the
SENS
adjustment is
set fully clockwise, the Anti–Foam Module is set to maximum sensitivity. When
the
SENS
adjustment is moved counterclockwise the sensitivity is reduced. Foam
with higher conductivity is required to produce a response from the
CONDUCTANCE PROBE
and the Anti–Foam Module. For most applications the
SENS
adjustment should be not be changed from the factory set value.
