Manual approval. The Registration Manager administrator may configure the
Registration Manager to notify the agent via email whenever a new request is
added to the request queue. In any case, when the agent processes the requests
in the queue, he or she follows Acme’s procedure for processing credit checks
and validating other customer information, including making a personal
phone call. If all authentication procedures are successful, the agent approves
the request.

Request certificate. The Registration Manager performs policy processing and,
if the processing is successful, sends the approved request to the Certificate
Manager.
5.
Issue certificate. The Certificate Manager performs its own policy processing
on the request and, if processing is successful, issues the certificate and delivers
it to the Registration Manager.
6.
Email notice of issuance. The Registration Manager sends an email containing
a URL to the new customer, asking the customer to pick up the certificate.
7.
Pick up certificate. The customer goes to the specified Registration Manager
URL and picks up the certificate.
