Connected to a PBX Extension Line
If the gateway is connected to a PBX extension line, then the busy tone of both the PBX and the PSTN
must be detected.

Note:
The above diagrams show a 4-port SmartVoice gateway for illustration purposes.
An 8 port SmartVoice gateway could also be used depending upon your network
requirements.
•
Connect one of the PBX extension lines to the Gateway FXO Port.
•
Detect Channel:
Enter 4 (if the trunk line is connected to P4, and uses P4 for outgoing detection).
•
Phone Number:
Set the number of the FXO line –to detect Reorder Tone.
•
Dial Number:
Enter the number of the end to be tested—307.
•
CPT group:
Enter the group to save your settings to once the test has been completed.
•
Finally, click the “Accept” button.
