Weatherizing the Cable Connections
Complete the following instructions to weatherproof the cables with the
black tape.
1 Using the weatherizing kit, start the tape at the top of the RF
antenna connection as illustrated in Figure 76.
2 Wrap the tape around the connection several times; slowly work
your way downward to weatherize your connection at the base.

Special consideration should be given when the R450 MC is installed
inside a building.
The screen (shield) of the coaxial cable must be connected to earth
(grounded) at the entrance to the building. This should be done in
accordance with applicable national electrical installation codes
(Section 820.93 of the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70).
