NEB extender
This document will show you how to connect your NEB Extender the best way.
So, what can it do for me?
The NEB Extender (Neets Expansion Bus Extender) is a universal extension for the newest generation of
Neets control systems.
By adding an NEB Extender to the NEB bus, you can extend the cable length from 20 cm up-to 40
meters.
The flexibility of the room design is increased, because the NEB keyboard can be placed at the
entrance/door and the control system can be placed below the screen.
Requirement

You must use a Neets Control system that can has an NEB bus.
o
1-3 NEB Extenders (310-0005) Sold in pairs.
o
Shielded twisted pair cable with minimum of 3 pairs. (See recommendations below)
Limitations
o
Locations with high level of Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) can cause the NEB bus to be
unusable and reduce the max cable length.
How-to use NEB Extenders
This section will take you through the steps on how to install the NEB extenders and make the best
cabling.
Connecting the NEB Extenders.
The NEB Bus normally has a cable length of up-to 20 cm, so if you need longer distance then you need an
NEB Extender at each end of the cable that is longer than 20 cm.
Any cable between NEB extenders in a single setup may not exceed a combined length of 40 meters.
NB: Some of the Neets Control systems has a build in NEB extender (ex. DelTa). Please check the
technical specification on the control system you are using.
