Printer Administration Menu Bar
The Menu Bar provides the following options.
Refresh:
Retrieves updated status information from
networked printers
Configure:
Allows you to display and modify various
configuration parameters. Configuration options are
also available through the buttons in the Printer
Administration window.
note:
Select one of the printers in the printer list
before selecting any options from the Configure menu.
LAN Card:
Displays LAN Card Parameters dialog
box. This menu option has the same function as the
LAN Card button in the Printer Administration
window.
NetWare: Displays NetWare Configuration dialog
box. This menu option has the same function as the
NetWare button in the Printer Administration
window.
TCP/IP:
Displays TCP/IP Parameters dialog box.
This menu option has the same function as the
TCP/IP button in the Printer Administration
window.
Printer:
Displays Network Printer Configuration
dialog box. This menu option has the same function
as the Printer button in the Printer Administration
window.
Sort: The printers displayed in the window can be
sorted in ASCII code sequences for the following items:
•
Printer Name
• MAC Address
• Network Number
Filter:
The printers displayed in the window can be
filtered by network number:
•
All Printers (No filtering)
• Network Number
Option:
Allows administrator to set the status polling
rate and response timeout. The polling rate is how often,
in seconds, that the NEC 1765 software queries the LAN
card. The response timeout is the time in seconds that
the NEC 1765 software waits for a response before a
timeout.
Help: Enables the selection of explanations or version
information. The online help system and NEC 1765
Administration software dialog box are also available
through buttons in the Printer Administration Window.
Index:
Displays help index.
About: Displays the About NEC 1765
Administration software dialog box, which includes
the version number and release date of the software.
This menu option has the same function as the
About button in the Printer Administration
window.
