Change BIOS settings
When you have done all of above-mentioned preparations, follow the instructions below to change
this product’s BIOS settings (registering Boot device and enabling Boot BIOS).
1> Confirm that the CPU Blade system is properly connected with the Fiber Channel device. Then,
turn on the CPU Blade.
If the logo is displayed but the BIOS window is not, press <ESC> key to display it.
2> Hold <Alt> key and press <E> key while the following message is displayed. Then, you see this
product’s BIOS menu.

Press <Alt E> or <Ctrl E> to enter Emulex BIOS configuration
Utility. Press <s> to Skip Emulex BIOS
Without enable the Option Rom of Mezzanine slot which installed this product, this
message is not displayed. Refer to the CPU Blade’s User’s Guide for how to
enable the Option Rom of Mezzanine slot.
This product’s BIOS menu consumes a lot of memories. Therefore, depending
on your environment (for example, an expansion board is consuming a lot of
memories), this menu may not be displayed or you may not be able to change the
settings. In such a case, disable the Option ROM unnecessary on CPU Blade or
take other countermeasures. Refer to the CPU Blade’s User’s Guide for how to
disable the Option ROM.
3> When CPU Blade detects that <Alt> and <E> keys are pressed, you see the following messages
and the menu.

If the above menu is not displayed and the window has gone to the next one,
press <Alt>, <Ctrl> and <Del> keys simultaneously to reboot the CPU Blade.
Then, start the steps from the beginning.
The LPe1105-N of Function “00” is Port0 and Function “01” is Port1.
The above message sample is just for your reference. Some of them may be
different depending on the CPU Blade or its configurations.
