Setup Guide 

 

Preface 

The Rack Conversion Kit allows you to convert the server of the tower model to that of the rack mount 
model, which can be mounted on a 19-inch rack.

 

Before handling the kit, read this guide and "Notes on Use" in the User's Guide of the server carefully 
to understand the handling.

 

 

NOTES ON USE - Always read the Notes -

 

Observe the following instructions to use the rack conversion kit correctly and safely. For symbols, see 
"SAFETY INDICATIONS" described in the User's Guide of the server. 

CAUTION

 

 

The Rack Conversion Kit must be used for the server and the expansion units to which the 
Rack Conversion Kit is specified as option. 

Do not use the Rack Conversion Kit for any other devices than specified. Doing so may 
cause a personal injury and/or breakage of surrounding devices. 

 

At least three persons are required to install the server with this conversion kit in rack. 
Failure to follow this instruction may cause the rack to fall to result in personal injury and/or 
breakage of surrounding devices. 

 

Before using the Rack Conversion Kit, be sure to read the User's Guide of the server for how 
to setup your server. Incorrect installation may cause a personal injury and/or breakage of 
surrounding devices. 

 

Route cables so that they do not disturb the adjacent servers and/or guide rails at both sides.

 

Incorrect installation may cause a fire, burn, and/or breakage of surrounding devices.

 

 

Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the product.   
Doing so may cause a personal injury or property damage.
