Self Calibration
Manually adjust the integrated front sensor with an external near range color analyzer reference, which is traceable to a primary
standards laboratory. All PICTURE MODES are updated when Self Calibration is performed.
NOTE:
An external near range color analyzer, which is traceable to a primary standards laboratory, is required.
1. To show the CALIBRATION menu, select STAND ALONE CALIBRATION in the advanced menu (page 24), or press the
“LEFT” and then “RIGHT” buttons and hold them down simultaneously when the “NO SIGNAL” message appears on screen.
2. Use “LEFT” or “RIGHT” to select SELF in the MODE selection (
Figure S.1
). Press SELECT to go to the next section.

3. The procedure will ask for the external near range color analyzer to be placed on the center of the display panel
(

). Place the external near range color analyzer in the center of the display panel, then press SELECT.
NOTE:
Place an external near range color analyzer fl at against the LCD to avoid any infl uence of ambient light.
DO NOT press an external near range color analyzer against the display panel.
4. The measument screen will be displayed. Measure the luminance and chromaticity value of the center of the display by
using the external near range color analyzer. Input the measured value to LUMINANCE and chromaticity by using the control
keys, then press SELECT (

).
5. According to the message window, repeat the measurement of luminance and chromaticity and input the measured value
until the procedure is completed.
NOTE:
If chromaticity value is not measured by your external near range color analyzer, only input the luminance value and
press SELECT.
6. GAMMA Measurement is then executed automatically. After completing GAMMA Measurement, you can set DATE and TIME
by using control keys.
