USB Connectors (front)
Connectors for connecting USB interface devices.
9 POWER
Switch/LED
A switch for turning on/off the server. Press once to turn
on the server. POWER LED lights green when it is on.
Press it again to turn off the server. Hold down the switch
for four seconds or more to forcibly turn off the server.
10 Unit ID (UID) Switch/LED
A switch for turning on/off UID LED. Pressing the switch
once turns on UID LED and pressing once more turns off
the LED.
Commands from the software also cause it to turn on or
blink.
11 RESET
Switch
A switch for resetting the server.
12 DUMP Switch (NMI)
A switch for collecting the memory dump.
13 BMC RESET Switch
A switch for resetting BMC of the server. Use the switch
only when there is a problem with EXPRESSSCOPE
Engine 3 (BMC).
To use this switch, press it at least five seconds.
14 Optical Disk Drive Bay
A bay for installing an optical disk drive. Either of the
following drive can be installed.
– DVD-ROM drive
– DVD SuperMULTI drive
14 – (1) Access LED for optical disk
14 – (2) Eject button
14 – (3) Eject hole
15 2.5-inch/3.5-inch Hard Disk Drive Bay
Bays for installing HDDs. The sequential numbers indicate
the corresponding slot numbers. All bays include dummy
trays.
16 DISK
LED
(green/amber)
LEDs for showing each hard disk drive status.
This LED light turns green when a hard disk drive is being
accessed. The light turns amber if a hard disk drive is
broken and it blinks green and amber alternately when a
hard disk drive is being rebuilt in the RAID system
17 Pull-out
Tab
A tab for showing the model number and serial number of
the server.
