10-10 Internal Cabling Diagrams

If SCSI hard disk drives are installed and the SCSI device is desired to be controlled by a controller
other than that for the hard disk drives, the optional SCSI controller and internal SCSI cable are
required. The installed SCSI controller can be connected with both internal and external SCSI
devices.

The SCSI controller is connected with the 5.25-inch device as shown in the figure below.

[Standard configuration]

If the SCSI cable sold separately has the connector for terminating the SCSI connection, make the
termination setting of the 5.25-inch device invalid. SCSI cables sold separately are required for
external devices. Set the SCSI ID of each device uniquely.
