Programming Your 7890 Scanner
Clone Programming

User’s Guide

Clone Programming

Clone Programming permits you to copy the program
in one 7890 Presentation Scanner (transmitter) to
another (receiver) without using connecting cables.
Thus, you can enter a program in one 7890 scanner, and
then quickly and easily copy it to other 7890 scanners.

The following steps identify how to use the Clone
Programming feature.

1

Apply power to the transmitting 7890 Scanner, the
one containing your program.

2

Apply power to the receiving 7890 Scanner, the one
receiving your program.

3

Position the transmitting and receiving scanners in
an upright vertical position such that each scanner’s
scan window faces the other. The scanners should
be about 4 to 5 inches apart.

First scan the Clone Mode - Transmitter tag with the
transmitting scanner. The Status Indicator flashes
green. Ensure that the
receiving scanner does not accidentally scan a
programming tag.
