5-10 Chapter 5: Service

Replacing the Keylock

Lay the keyboard on a flat surface with keys facing down.

Remove the Back Cover (11 screws).

Using your fingers, carefully disconnect the Keylock ribbon cable.

Using a needle nose pliars, twist and break off the 2 Keylock
assembly locking tabs.

Locking Tabs

Press the Keylock assembly down and out of the keyboard.

Before snapping the new Keylock assembly into the keyboard,
insert the Keylock ribbon cable into the plug on the Main Control
Board.

Be careful not to twist or crimp the Keylock ribbon cable.

Insert the new Keylock assembly into the keyboard.
