SETTING THE FUNCTION MODE
Press the FUNC button [9] to wake the unit from Standby and to put it in one of the following function modes.
•
FM: FM or FM stereo radio mode.
•
AM: AM radio mode.
•
CD: CD player mode.
•
USB: USB player mode.
•
AUX: AUX input player mode.
Press the FUNC button [9] to cycle through all of the function modes. The current function will be shown on
the LCD screen [5].
To return the unit to Standby mode (OFF), press and hold the FUNC button [9].
RADIO FUNCTION (FM, AM)
1. Press the FUNC button [9] to choose the radio band (FM, AM).
2. To tune to a station, press the
/+
[6] or
/–
button [7] to skip up or down the frequency range. Press
and hold either button to quickly scan up or down the frequency range. When a station is found the
search will stop and lock onto the station.
3. Press the VOL– [10] or VOL+ [11] buttons to adjust to the desired output level.
You can store up to 20 preset radio stations per radio band.
1. While listening to a tuned radio station, press and hold the MODE button [8] to enter into storing mode.
Press the
/+
[6] or
/–
[7]
button to tune to a station.
2. When the station is selected, press the MODE button [8] once more to store the current station to the
preset memory.
3. To tune to a preset station, press the MODE button [8] and then press the
/+
[6] or
/–
[7]
buttons
to browse the preset station (1-20).
TIPS FOR BEST RECEPTION
AM – The AM antenna is located inside the cabinet of the unit. If AM reception is weak, change the position
of the unit until the internal antenna picks up the strongest signal.
FM – If a stereo broadcast program is being received, the FM STEREO INDCATOR will light. During FM or
FM Stereo reception, always keep the FM Telescopic Antenna [3] fully extended for best performance.
However, if FM reception is weak, try repositioning the unit near an open window until you get the best
reception.
CD FUNCTION
NOTE: THIS UNIT NOT ONLY PLAYS COMMERCIAL COMPACT DISCS BUT ALSO SELF-RECORDED
CD-R/RW DISCS.
•
Because of non-standardized format definition/production of CD-R/RW, playback quality &
performance is not guaranteed.
•
Manufacturer is not responsible for the playability of CD-R/RW due to recording conditions such as
PC performance, writing software, media properties etc.
•
Do not attach a label, seal, or sticker to either side of the CD-R/RW disc. It may cause a malfunction.
PLAY MODE
1.
Press the FUNC button [9] to place the unit in “CD” mode.
2.
Open the CD DOOR [2], load a CD with the label side facing up, and then close the CD door.
3.
Disc information (total number of tracks) will appear on the LCD screen [5], and the unit will start playing
the CD automatically. The LCD screen will show the TRACK No. that is being played.
4.
While playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE [13] button to pause playback; the symbol “
▶
”
will flash. Press
the PLAY/PAUSE [13] button again to resume playing.
5.
Adjust the volume level to a comfortable level by pressing the VOLUME– [10] or [11] buttons.
6.
Press the STOP button [12] to stop playback.
NOTE:
If skipping occurs during CD play, try turning the volume down.
Do not open the CD Door [2] when a CD is playing. Wait until the disc has stopped spinning
completely before opening the CD door [2].
